Bibiana Stevens

Director of Grant Programs and Asset Manager

Bibiana leads the grants management work that CFE does on behalf of local funders. This includes working with grantees to ensure timely completion of grant requirements and reports, reviewing applications, and disbursing small business grants. She also supports the lending team by providing technical assistance to prospective borrowers, guiding them on business planning, compiling financial documents, readying them for the lending process, and helping them to access other funding opportunities.

Prior to joining CFE, Bibiana provided technical assistance to small business owners with another CDFI. She served at the Community Foundation of Oaxaca, where she coached indigenous entrepreneurs and nonprofits in rural Oaxaca, and she also has worked for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington as a bilingual case manager for refugee and parolee minors from El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. Bibiana speaks Spanish, English, and Hungarian; she studied economics at José Vasconcelos University and received a master’s degree in applied economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
